Today’s recipe is for the people trying to lose weight, but also for those who love to push their limits in the gym. Salmon is perfect to fuel your body with protein and healthy fats that will help you speed up your post-workout recovery. It will also keep you full, so you won’t feel the need to snack on those pop-tarts. Brussels sprouts contain good carbs, and they add more protein to your meal as well. This recipe is one of my favorites as it helps me to stay lean and hit my macros perfectly at the same time.

Ingredients:

Salmon:
× 125 g salmon
× 1 tbsp olive oil (this is optional because the salmon has already enough fat; I use olive oil because I’m on a keto diet so I need to eat a lot of fat)
× 1 tbsp orange juice
× ½ tsp freshly grated ginger
× ½ tsp honey
× cilantro seeds (optional)
× salt, pepper

Brussels Sprouts:
× 1 cup Brussels sprouts
× 1 tbsp olive oil
× 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
× 1 tsp minced garlic/ garlic powder
× salt, pepper

Directions:

Preheat the oven at 200°C/ 400°F. Place the salmon on a baking sheet and add all the ingredients on top. Cut the Brussels sprouts in half and place them on the same baking sheet. Pour the olive oil, balsamic vinegar on top and add the rest of the ingredients. Give them a mix and bake for about 20 minutes or until the salmon is golden-brown and the Brussels sprouts are roasted. Enjoy 🙂
